Setting SMART Wellness Goals

We will discuss what SMART goals are and how they can be applied for improving health and wellness.  ‘Dieting’ often doesn’t work long term for many people because they set goals that are unrealistic.  We will discuss how making lifestyle changes to improve your health can take time and you will learn ways to work through roadblocks that may occur every now and then.

Emotional Eating and Breaking Cravings

At this seminar you will learn how to listen to your body and identify if you are an emotional eater.  We will discuss ways to work through emotional eating and cravings it triggers.

We will discuss what Genetically Modified Organisms are and how they affect our bodies, which foods you’re better off going organic with, and the benefits of free-range animal products.

The Scary Reality of Processed Foods

68% of calories that are consumed by Americans come from processed foods.  Processed foods (or food products) are foods that have been altered from their natural state to prolong shelf life and enhance flavor.  These foods offer little to no nutrients and are the primary contributor to obesity and chronic diseases.  Come learn about foods and ingredients to avoid and ways to ‘crowd them out’ from your diet.

Mindfulness is a way of living that focuses on being in the present.  It significantly reduces stress, improves cognitive function and reduces mood and behavioral disorders.  At this seminar we will learn basic methods of Mindfulness and how it can improve your physical and emotional health.
